When the Unthinkable Happens
In 1988 Pastor Hunt experienced a life-changing event. Because of the lifestyle he’d been living – which was contrary to the way he’d been raised – he became a victim of an armed robbery. Pastor Hunt was shot in the head and given only a 1% chance of survival. If he did survive, doctors said he would be severly paralyzed for the rest of his life.
But God!
Pastor Hunt survived and out of that experience, God gave him a vision and a purpose for his life. Pastor Hunt spent the next twenty years serving and working to help others bring their visions to fruition. All the while God was preparing him for his destiny.
Through the leadership of the late Bishop Philemon Turner Sr., pastor of the Lord’s Tabernacle Holiness Church, a foundation was established and Pastor Hunt matured and gained great insight.
After many years of ministry as part of the Lord’s Tabernacle Holiness Church, H.E.L.P. Outreach Ministries became an independent organization in the Fall of 2011.
Since its’ founding, H.E.L.P. has sought to meet the spiritual needs of those that they connect with through their outreach efforts.
